If anyone even bothers to read this, I'll tell you a little about myself.
My name is Ashley. I am a 23-year-old mother of two girls, ages two and four. I am currently in my first year of my Bachelor's of Science in Legal Studies degree through Kaplan University. I chose an online university so that I could stay home with my children rather than putting them into daycare. In addition, I had attended the University of Oklahoma for a semester and very much disliked the school. In my experience, the school was not willing to work with the students.
My children are my world and I love both dearly. My older daughter will be starting school next year and I'm afraid to let her go, but I know she will thrive. They are very different and each demands different things from me. My older daughter is loud and active. She whines a lot but she doesn't want me to help her with things. My younger daughter is demanding of my attention and tends to cuddle more than run. She has a bit of a hitting problem still, but at least we got her to quit biting...for the most part. I consider both of my children to be intelligent. People have told me how smart they think my kids are in stores randomly. The most recent time was when my then one-year-old daughter was naming off all of the princesses on puzzles and talking about them at the local dollar store.
School is very important to me right now. I plan to continue my education until I have received my Juris Doctorate and will then continue my education in order to keep up to date with all of the legal changes in the United States. Once I become a lawyer, I would like to join a law firm focused on immigration law.
With kids and school, I don't have much time for hobbies. I enjoy reading and writing, however, and Harry Potter is one of my favorite things in the world. I love reading the books, watching the movies, talking to people about it, getting on HP RPG sites, and have even roleplayed within the fandom (my favorite is Severus Snape). I love Spanish pop music but I still listen to a little of the popular pop here in the United States and enjoy classic rock and 90s music. I'm just not a big fan of what's going on in the United States's music scene right now. I have also recently started exercising and love the way it makes me feel. I did too much recently, however, and I am a bit sore.
The point of this blog is simply to write. I probably will not have anyone following this blog, and that is perfectly fine. I feel that this term at school is going to be a stressful one so I wanted somewhere I could let out some of the stress. If you have made it this far in the post, thank you for reading!
